DIEU ET MON DROIT

HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENS

Shame upon him who thinks evil of it.

For those who were fortunate to spend time at Neverland, one of the first things to see would be Michael’s Coat of Arms beautifully displayed on the entrance gates.  The words DIEU ET MON DROIT atop translated to “God and My Will or Right”.  This is the motto for The Order of the Garter, Coat of Arms for the Princess of Wales, in the British Court System, on Royal Britania and is used in New Zealand and Australia.  Michael included this motto as well…”HONI SOIT QUE MAL Y PENSE”.  The translation is “Shame upon him who thinks evil of it”.beautiful smile

My DEAR FRIENDS, I am beginning the sixth year of studying the creative and humanitarian life of Michael Jackson.  To be sure, I have studied topics in the past, those I willingly chose and those assigned by others.  But, THIS education has in it knowledge for life, wisdom that will save the planet and, profound inspiration that changes the direction and purpose of people’s lives.  THIS  education contains magic, instills hope and stirs passions.  THIS education plants creative seeds making it necessary to contine.  YOU SIMPLY CANNOT GET ENOUGH OF MICHAEL JACKSON. The greater the knowledge, the greater the need to learn more.  Now, how many topics can you say that about?  Someone once said…”I only miss you when I’m breathing.”

Our lives are lived in layers.  We compartmentalize in order to cope with the enormity of day to day busyness.  The bigger the life, the more layers and the greater the need to keep things separate.  Imagine a life that includes hundreds of millions of people.  Imagine your life’s work including writing, arranging, producing, singing, dancing, composing, rehearsing, performing, traveling, hosting, giving and on and on and on.  Is it any wonder that people in Michael’s life knew parts of his genius and talent and friendship and love…but not all.  Friends may have imagined they had the complete understanding of the man…but, only Michael knew himself deeply and thoroughly.  I would say if you asked friends of mine about me…it would wind up being the same way.  And, I Iead a very small life.heal

Michael had a personality that drew people in.  He was a great listener, interested in what other people had experienced in their journeys.  He was sympathetic and compassionate.  He was a rescuer.  He was funny and fun to be around.  He was a people-person, but, like all of us, he guarded private times in which to refill and heal.  He WAS voice, WAS music, WAS art, WAS LOVE.  That is the character of the man because that is WHO HE WAS every day of his life.  HE NEVER CHANGED.  His humility surprised people.  Because of the fractured facts put out in soundbites by a media obsessed with Michael, people who spent time with him were often surprised to find A NICE AND VERY NORMAL GUY.

Michael felt a closeness to the natural world.  He loved spending time with animals and he ADORED children.  I often wonder why people found that strange.  I chose a career in which I spent every single day with children.  So do millions of people.  I was a growngorgeous three person when I did it.  Beyond that fact, Michael worked when he was a child and never could be free to do the things children do, exposed to adult things which interferred with innocence, Michael felt he was CHOSEN for his path.  That path was to help save the children of the world.  In a culture obsessed with sex, cynical minds often look for dark reasons for behavior.  That behavior is psychoanalyzed until it produces something dirty.  MICHAEL JACKSON FELT THAT THE INNOCENCE OF CHILDREN HELD THE SECRETS TO SAVING THE PLANET.  He devoted his entire life to protecting that innocence.  Think about the energy it took to do that…traveling, touring, contributing, visiting, hosting and more.  It doesn’t take rocket science to understand that THE CHARACTER OF THE MAN WAS FOR A PURE PURPOSE. Those who know Michael understand he was incapable of hurting a child.  hug

I sat down one day to make a list of all the HATS Michael wore…beyond the iconic Billie Jean hat.  Here’s that list: singer, musician, songwriter, poet, storyteller, arranger, producer, vocalist, performer, imaginer, dancer, writer, businessman, cook, theme-park designer, rescuer, humanitarian, innocent, philanthropist, peacemaker, composer, vanguard, visionary, compromiser, ambassador, speechmaker, observer, listener, healer, teacher, lover, husband, father, brother, son, uncle, innovator, pace-setter, perfectionist, director, professional, friend, collaborator, problem-solver, mentor, artist, designer, actor, host, inspiration, LOVER.  As you readhandsome the list, you may have thought of things I have forgotten.  Looking at the man’s character and each item in this list…MICHAEL APPLIED THE SAME UNCONDITIONAL LOVE TO EVERY SINGLE ONE.  THAT IS THE CHARACTER OF THE MAN.

Michael was given many gifts and he felt that it would be unconscionable not to use them to give to others.  And, in giving, he felt others would discover their gifts.  THAT IS WHY WE ARE HERE.  Each one of us has committed our time and energies to experiencing this unparalleled life and then, finding our own unique way of giving it back.A FAN

“I TRY TO WRITE, PUT IT IN A SONG, PUT IT IN A DANCE, PUT IT IN MY ART TO TEACH THE WORLD.  IF POLITICIANS CAN’T DO IT, I WANT TO DO IT!  WE HAVE TO DO IT.  ARTISTS PUT IT IN PAINTINGS, POETS PUT IT IN POEMS AND NOVELS.  THAT’S WHAT WE HAVE TO DO AND I THINK IT’S IMPORTANT TO SAVE THE WORLD.”

Michael Jackson EBONY MAGAZINE 1984 Age 25

“While a part of his intent was obviously to entertain, there is a culturally intelligent and politically astute side of Michael Jackson that has not been seriously explored.  Michael Jackson is the most inexhausible humanitarian and lobbyist for change in our cultural memory.”  Georgette Norman Director of Rosa Parks Museumadorable

Michael teaches us every time we see or hear or experience him.  He shows us how to be better.  “Trusting yourself begins by recognizing that it’s okay to be afraid.  The problem is not being honest enough to admit your fear.  Whenever I accept my own doubt and insecurity, I’m more open to other people.  The deeper I go into myself, the stronger I become, because I realize that my real self is much bigger than any fear.  In accepting yourself completely, trust becomes complete.  There is no longer any separation between people, because there is no longer any separation inside.  In the space where fear used to live, love is allowed to grow.”  Michael Jackson DANCING THE DREAM.miracle

My Dear Friends…My goals for this blog have always been to PAY MICHAEL FORWARD with great passion, love and respect.  You have joined me on that journey and validated my work to the point of my tears.  With the new year, I have set new goals.  One of them is to create a group.  I would so love it if you would join me.  Here is the purpose of the group as it reveals itself to me at the moment:   The goal of this group is to PAY MICHAEL FORWARD using what we have learned from the MASTER, and to tell how these truths have shaped our path, as we preserve Michael’s legacy for all generations.  I invite you to write your discoveries.  Michael sang, “YOU CAN CHANGE THE WORLD (I can’t do it by myself). YOU CAN TOUCH THE SKY,(Gonna take somebody’s help). YOU’RE THE CHOSEN ONE (I’m gonna need some kind of sign). IF WE ALL CRY AT THE SAME TIME TONIGHT.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mj3MfUR35CMsoldier for peace

Thank you for all you have given to me these past months.  I am so very grateful.  Michael’s death is not the end of his ability to give.  I know that with all my heart.  And, what he has to give will truly help to HEAL THE WORLD.  I love you.

Jude
