REMEMBER WHEN IT WAS ALL BRAND NEW?…My friend, Siren, said those words to me the other day, and I found myself remembering back to a time when, for me, it was brand new.  You see, a week ago, I started THE IMMERSION PROJECT…Michael Jackson Tapestry (MJT).  Spending loads of hours preparing for my gifted student, Gail, I pulled out dozens of notebooks and thousands of pages of research…books and cds and dvds and youtube videos, all to prepare for sessions.  As you can imagine, I have been in HEAVEN.  I often thought of Michael’s words, “AN ANGEL FROM HEAVEN JUST FOR ME”, because, for those who have chosen to really KNOW,  there is a state of bliss that greets us each day and lulls us to sleep each night.  When love is the driving force, joy follows.

Today is a day to celebrate a birth that changed our world…to discipline myself to turn away from bottom-feeders, those who ride Michael’s coattails by yet another cut and paste take-down piece…inevitable whenever the rest of the world makes a full-stop to celebrate the man.  Hell hath no fury like the second rate. As hard as these profit-seekers work to unethically and untruthfully plant seeds, desperately hoping their venom drips into the weak-minded, they still cannot comprehend the enormity of love protecting Michael Jackson.

This is a love that completely understands “Whoever controls the media controls the mind.”  Jim Morrison  Yes, we comprehend the painful reality of that statement, while at the same time believing that “Magic is easy if you put your heart into it.”  Michael told us that and we know it to be true.  Armed with that truth, and a FOREVER LOVE,  earned over the span of five and a half decades, Michael Jackson Fans see with their hearts, hear with their souls, and join in a trajectory that spirals in its celebration.

In that song, Michael asks the question, “WHAT HAVE I LEARNED?”  I have learned more from Michael in these past five and a half years than I have learned the entire rest of my life.  It is a learning of the heart, a hearing in the soul, a feeling of spirit touching me, injecting my core with renewed faith.  This has been an enchanted delight sprinkled with gut-wrenching pain.  Each day I am tested, inspired and offered hope for a better tomorrow.  This creative journey stretches me in all directions.  I like to think I have spent a lifetime trying to be a good person, but Michael has shone me life as it truly should be lived.

Thank you for those words, Michael…for living a life that inspires me each and every day…for loving unconditionally…for giving the world the most beautiful music, dance, performance, storytelling, messages we have ever known.  Your legacy touches millions.  Finding grace in our brightest and darkest moments, WE COLLECTIVELY CRY WITH YOU!
