“TIS DEARNESS ONLY THAT GIVES EVERYTHING IT’S VALUE…THE HARDER THE CONFLICT, THE MORE GLORIOUS THE TRIUMPH…WHAT WE OBTAIN TOO CHEAPLY, WE ESTEEM TOO LIGHTLY.”
Thomas Payne
“I don’t think of myself as a philosopher. I think I have a purpose, as does everyone else on Earth. To find that purpose and to live to express it is to ignite the spark of divinity within us.”
“No, I haven’t. (when asked if he had realized all his dreams)…Without dreams there is no creativity. The creative urge in us comes from a discontent…a divine discontent that seeks to change, to transform, to fill the world with more magic. My priority in life is to make a difference, to tread unfamiliar, uncharted territory and to leave some trails behind.”
“I know how to experience solitude. Loneliness can be a harsh experience, but solitude is love and consciousness with all of life.”
“Animals do not kill out of cruelty, greed or jealousy. And, most do not kill their own kind. We are the only animals that plunder and destroy the Earth! But we are learning, and it is not too late.”
“I first hear the music and feel the dance, and then the words come spontaneously.”

DANGEROUS WORLD TOUR
In my imagination, I dream of a world where pain and suffering are no more…a world where life is made easier, bodies are free of disease, and hardship and struggle lessen to ultimately disappear. And then, I ask myself, would the price obtained for such euphoria be a life esteemed too lightly. “YOU HAVE TO HAVE THAT TRAGEDY, THAT PAIN TO PULL FROM.” Michael Jackson For one who lived every day of his entire life under the microscope, he never avoided the heat. Instead, embracing sweet disorder, he enthusiastically lived the struggle, never yielding to it. The purpose lived in the struggles to set a world free…not avoidance of pain and tragedy, but rather, purposeful expression igniting the spark of divinity within. His divine discontent was to make change, to make a difference, and to bring us all real magic.
Michael’s divine discontent sought changes in perception…human understanding was something gained with innocence, not age…in agreement with Pablo Picasso when he said, “It takes a long time to become young”, Michael redefined adult education…greed, jealousy, cynicism, distrust weakened with the force of innocent love…faith in mankind’s potential transformed an otherwise desperate view of our neighbor and allowed a world of magic to emerge. That magical world included children taking ownership to enlighten…leading adults by the hand to rediscover childhood genius…joining carefree and perceptive thought.
“Hello. Now, I’ve got an important and special message for all my friends who watch ‘Going Live!’ Next spring, I plan to hold a conference for children at my home in California. I wanna hear from you about the problems that the world faces, and, more importantly, how we are going to tackle them and solve them. I wanna hear from the children of Great Britain. As you probably know, the Heal the World Foundation is now set up in countries around the world, and it will focus its efforts towards healing the world’s problems, including the environment, homelessness, racism, drug abuse and cruelty to children. So join me in helping heal the world and make it a better place. I look forward to meeting your chosen representative next spring. Thank You.” Michael Jackson BBC November 1992
Treading unfamiliar and uncharted territories, Michael stretched the popular music canon. His trails transformed entertainment, making it possible for the magic of entertainment to enchant, educate and rally for cause, all at the same time. The genius of his compositions made new realms of possibility, while all the time, crying out for the collective strength of people to love and care for one another and the planet…always, ALWAYS starting with the children.
LITTLE SUSIE
SOMEBODY KILLED LITTLE SUSIE
THE GIRL WITH THE TUNE
WHO SINGS IN THE DAYTIME AND NOON
SHE WAS THERE SCREAMING
BEATING HER VOICE IN HER DOOM
A FALL DOWN THE STAIRS
HER DRESS TORN
OH THE BLOOD IN HER HAIR
A MYSTERY SO SULLEN IN AIR
SHE LIE THERE SO TENDERLY
FASHIONED SO SLENDERLY
LIFT HER WITH CARE
OH THE BLOOD IN HER HAIR
EVERYONE CAME TO SEE
SO BLIND STARE THE EYES IN HER HEAD
AND SUDDENLY A VOICE FROM THE CROWD SAID
THIS GIRL LIVED IN VAIN
HER FACE BEAR SUCH AGONY, SUCH STRAIN
BUT ONLY THE MAN FROM NEXT DOOR
KNEW LITTLE SUSIE AND HOW HE CRIED
AS HE REACHED DOWN
TO CLOSE SUSIE’S EYES
FASHIONED SO SLENDERLY
LIFT HER WITH CARE
OH THE BLOOD IN HER HAIR
IT WAS ALL FOR GOD’S SAKE
FOR HER SINGING THE TUNE
FOR SOMEONE TO FEEL HER DESPAIR
TO BE DAMNED TO KNOW HOPING IS DEAD AND YOU’RE DOOMED
THEN TO SCREAM OUT
AND NOBODY’S THERE
FATHER LEFT HOME, POOR MOTHER DIED
LEAVING SUSIE ALONE
GRANDFATHER’S SOUL TOO HAD FLOWN
NO ONE TO CARE
JUST TO LOVE HER
HOW MUCH CAN ONE BEAR
REJECTING THE NEEDS IN HER PRAYERS
NEGLECTION CAN KILL
LIKE A KNIFE IN YOUR SOUL
OH IT WILL
LITTLE SUSIE FOUGHT SO HARD TO LIVE
SHE LIE THERE SO TENDERLY
LIFT HER WITH CARE
SO YOUNG AND SO FAIR

HISTORY ALBUM
1995
“I compose them. I write them. I do the scoring. I do the lyrics. I do the melodies. But still, it’s a work of God.”
Michael Jackson
Michael has taught me the value in identifying purpose, and then, expressing it in a way that makes a positive difference. The trails he left behind are traversed by people across this entire planet…each uniquely defining and keeping his messages alive. Because, in doing that, we are learning, improving and holding onto the notion that we are not too late. He never stopped believing…believing in children, believing in the power and potential of people, believing that we all can make magic, and, believing that it was all about LOVE. He was unafraid…tackling the problems and uncomfortable questions of abuse and neglect, remaining in the heat his entire life. But, while taking the heat, Michael’s light shines on reminding us of ours…keeping us in DIVINE DISCONTENT.
IT’S ALL FOR LOVE!
