As a full moon spills its glow across the planet, sparkling points of light too numerous to count, join together forming a single whole while becoming one in action. It is a potpourri in unison, an alliance of kindred souls…it is August. Worldwide, Fans connect, influenced by the ultimate connector, Michael Jackson. This phenomenon is often difficult to describe. A global influence that to some may seem intangible. At its core lies the ultimate question: How to harness suffering to productive ends. But, like everything in Michael’s life, it is a core with many layers, each containing elements of the light of wisdom and the guidance of virtue. August also brings with it a layer of celebration. Unlike June’s pilgrimage, August is the birth of one who would change the world…for Michael lived for love and died for love. The unconditional aspect of his love gives way to endless possibilities, living and lasting. His artistry was about liberation. It has freed us from bondage, transforming that which was dormant into an awakening.

Within our pilgrimage is found Michael’s immortality. He lives on across this planet with a legacy of music and artistry and mission…unmatched and unequalled. Joined in a common purpose, harboring no boundaries or borders, we step out of our daily routine to embrace both justice seeking and celebration. And although some ignore the massiveness of it all, events touch with a marvelous magnitude. For many revisit, nourish and define. For many, it glistens with a fresh newness of spirit. For all, music and dance, laughter and tears, chaos and solitude uncover treasures on the edge of several realities. We experience a beatitude~ extreme blessedness and exalted happiness.

Whether speaking in a whisper or with the sound of a choir, our emotional courage affects our bravery, spreading beyond all boundaries. Action reflects our love as understanding grows in the truth we have chosen to search out. Days may find us either wounded or victorious. Following the philosophy of Maya Angelou…You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them. With time, we find ourselves reaching a point where a daily decision to choose between happiness and despair presents itself. Time spent with Michael Jackson increases our ability to escape human limitations. Is it true that one does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious as Carl Jung has said? We tune into Michael’s energy and it converts into a reality for ourselves. He is a figure of light who has also revealed humanness during our dark times. This week, I came face to face with the personification of, It’s discouraging how many people are shocked by honesty and how few by deceit, as Noel Coward said. Those of us in the Michael Jackson Community are all too familiar with today’s tabloid media tactics…created and practiced all too well in prime time. A reporter or interviewer asks for an interview. But, rather than asking questions and LISTENING to the answers, said interviewer becomes the “expert”. When the true expert attempts to speak, he or she is either shouted down or told there isn’t time. The agenda has been already decided and the truth is nowhere to be seen…the myth lives on. I remember something Diane Maas said, “Normal people don’t go around destroying other human beings.” I also find myself clinging to the days of my youth when the term Broadcasting Standards wasn’t an oxymoron. And so, I have come to that point where I must choose between despair and happiness. If our lives shrink and expand in proportion to our courage, it is a given that we will call upon that courage both to calmly defend and joyfully celebrate Michael. There will be days when the wounds are fresh and the tears are unending. But, we would be doing a disservice to Michael if we choose only to cry. Our doubts creep in when we are unhappy…Can we do this? Will the cruelty ever end? When will people be held accountable for their bullying? and more and more.

To truly carry the messages of the PEOPLE’S LEADER into the world, the days we face liars are wonderfully balanced with the days of celebrating a hero. The magic Michael created stretched from his artistry to his rescue of those in need…from music and dance and theater to toys and water balloon fights and play. The magical wind we feel from his sweet breath refreshes us in wondrous new projects and ideas that he presented to us, and, that we claim as our own. He is here with us in our hearts and minds encouraging us to be happy. He has broken down walls allowing us to go forward creating change in the world. All that he has done can be measured by soul and weakens negative people who find problems for every solution. Personally experiencing a member of the media paled in comparison to what Michael faced for decades. Hindsight being 20/20, I would have handled it differently. What I learned will empower my choices the next time. But now, I am taking one idea…HAPPINESS. I am going to think about it, dream about it and live it for awhile. I am going to remember this: They tried to bury us. They didn’t know we were seeds. Those words by Dinos Christianopoulos apply to Michael. The cultivating of seeds done by him has resulted in us. The fruits of his dedication to artistry and humanity will never die. We are dedicated to the honesty path and reject the myth trail.

In connecting the dots, we ask ourselves…what seeds are we planting in this world? Will the grains of our lives bear fruit? Will the faith we share lead to something bigger? A part of what we have come to understand is Michael’s unwavering devotion to people, his unshakable love, which often came face to face with the force of hate. Liars don’t fear the truth if there are enough of them. Evil can be just one man with a plan. But, true evil is a collaboration of men. Mulder One often wonders where Michael got the strengthen in times of TRUE EVIL. But, he was a man “guilty” of believing that the truth will prevail, people will come together as one for change and healing. The power and love of the collective is what drove THE PEOPLE’S LEADER. The years spent on perfecting a composition, coupled love and action in a way no one else has ever done. For Michael inspires masses of people with his truthful emotions, affecting our existence and our development. Seeing Michael, hearing Michael, feeling Michael shifts our consciousness towards understanding relationships. When Michael created his global environmental epic, EARTH SONG…PLANET EARTH, his message went beyond the aggregate of surrounding things, conditions, influences i.e. the environment. Michael wrote about the RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN ORGANISMS AND THEIR ENVIRONMENT i.e. the ecology. He joined the knowledge of what is true with the effect upon people…toward a judgment to ACTION. Bringing us from our unbelief, we have replaced cynicism with faith. We hear his words: “Without faith, we are lost.” That faith rests not only in religion, but with one to another.

Much as there are those who try to bury Michael’s truths, the truths are there…they are in here, and they demand to be known. But, it takes open minds accepting large thoughts with everlasting, energized devotion. “As a man thinketh in his heart, so he is.” With his ability to bring us to our emotional knees, we are his BEST OF JOY…and, HE ours. Unlike the liars, we ARE counting the victories and we behold the miracles.

“He really did build Neverland for kids, the children of the world. There’s just no way that all the children of the world could experience Neverland, but I will say, and this is something I get very…almost passionate about…I have seen it first hand, when Michael did have kids there, you know, sick kids, Make-a-wish kids, Neverland stood on its own two feet in terms of that. This was an amazing place, but on top of that, Michael gave his time, and he would be out there giving the tour. He’d be driving the golf cart and telling jokes with the kids. He would be in the middle of a water balloon fight. He would be on the rides, you know, telling the operator to go faster and faster.

It’s one thing to build something and then say, ‘Okay, everyone, come and enjoy it. I’m too busy.’ But, it’s another to roll up your sleeves and be out there in the midst of it and that’s really what I saw. I mean I would be there, and you know, I have four daughters, I have four beautiful, healthy, awesome daughters. I can’t imagine the pain that a parent must feel when their child is sick and there’s nothing that anybody can do about it, but, Michael…how do I put this…that’s a difficult place to go. It’s easy for us to pull back and go, ‘Yeah, that’s too bad there are sick kids in the hospital and I’m going to be over here doing my thing.’ But, Michael would go to those kids and Michael would open up his home and I was just heartbroken…I mean I see little girls and little boys in wheelchairs being lifted into rides by their parents and by Michael.

Michael had a chariot built into the carousel for kids that weren’t strong enough to sit on a horse or on one of the animals, so you could just put them on a bench and they could be on the ride, but not quite as vigorous as to hold onto a horse. That’s the stuff that…that’s real, that’s real life. That little girl that’s on the ride in front of me is probably not going to be with us in 3 or 4 weeks and this is her final wish…to be at Neverland with Michael. That’s a lot of weight to carry around and that’s the kind of stuff that…and…

I’ve worked with plenty of people that have a lot of money, blowing it up their nose, blowing it on parties. And, Michael…to experience Neverland for what it really was and see his dream come to life and to see the impact that it had on kids and families. I will always have an enormous respect for Michael, and I’m extremely proud to be part of the team that helped bring that thing to reality. It was like no place else on earth.”

Our choices design ourselves. Restless, we agitators accept that there is something more to why we are here. It is not your enemy.” We realize that it isn’t too late to be what we hoped one day we would be. Michael Jackson speaks to souls longing for connection. He was born over and over again, creating and recreating. His discontentment tirelessly reached for world healing. Both the power of prayer and personal faith filled his heart. But, he believed that ACTION was crucial for healing.

REMEMBER WHEN IT WAS ALL BRAND NEW?…My friend, Siren, said those words to me the other day, and I found myself remembering back to a time when, for me, it was brand new. You see, a week ago, I started THE IMMERSION PROJECT…Michael Jackson Tapestry (MJT). Spending loads of hours preparing for my gifted student, Gail, I pulled out dozens of notebooks and thousands of pages of research…books and cds and dvds and youtube videos, all to prepare for sessions. As you can imagine, I have been in HEAVEN. I often thought of Michael’s words, “AN ANGEL FROM HEAVEN JUST FOR ME”, because, for those who have chosen to really KNOW, there is a state of bliss that greets us each day and lulls us to sleep each night. When love is the driving force, joy follows.

Today is a day to celebrate a birth that changed our world…to discipline myself to turn away from bottom-feeders, those who ride Michael’s coattails by yet another cut and paste take-down piece…inevitable whenever the rest of the world makes a full-stop to celebrate the man. Hell hath no fury like the second rate. As hard as these profit-seekers work to unethically and untruthfully plant seeds, desperately hoping their venom drips into the weak-minded, they still cannot comprehend the enormity of love protecting Michael Jackson.

This is a love that completely understands “Whoever controls the media controls the mind.” Jim Morrison Yes, we comprehend the painful reality of that statement, while at the same time believing that “Magic is easy if you put your heart into it.” Michael told us that and we know it to be true. Armed with that truth, and a FOREVER LOVE, earned over the span of five and a half decades, Michael Jackson Fans see with their hearts, hear with their souls, and join in a trajectory that spirals in its celebration.

In that song, Michael asks the question, “WHAT HAVE I LEARNED?” I have learned more from Michael in these past five and a half years than I have learned the entire rest of my life. It is a learning of the heart, a hearing in the soul, a feeling of spirit touching me, injecting my core with renewed faith. This has been an enchanted delight sprinkled with gut-wrenching pain. Each day I am tested, inspired and offered hope for a better tomorrow. This creative journey stretches me in all directions. I like to think I have spent a lifetime trying to be a good person, but Michael has shone me life as it truly should be lived.

Michael’s enchantment lived in speaking the language of love he so thoroughly understood. His words reflected his vision of the world. He was a spiritual being on a human journey, a journey he invited us all to take with him. He enthusiastically affirmed every value he held dear with every breath he took. His desires for healing our world were offered as prayers to God by faith. His magical enchantment gives us an encounter with divinity. There is great joy in his presence, and the strength of that presence can be felt from a distance as well as close up. We feel a freedom that is the best example of faith. That freeing feeling is what separates passion from obsession…because at its core is love, powerful and compelling…LOVE FOR HIM, LOVE FOR OURSELVES, AND LOVE FOR ONE ANOTHER.

Michael’s captivating aura shone as light. People have often described it as a presence that you could feel before you could see it…see him. Molecules changed, rooms changed. PEOPLE CHANGED. Michael himself experienced the light during performances. “It’s unbelievable. You feel you are transformed…It is divine, it is pure, it is revelation without making it sound spiritual or religious, but it is a divine energy. Some people call it the spirit…It is God-like. It is pure God-like energy. You feel God’s light.” We feel Michael’s light. Being with Michael is real, it is authentic and it is profoundly personal. THAT IS THE CONNECTION. There is power in that.

This dynamic power binds us together in an irresistible entanglement. It has left an indelible mark on our souls and we are eager to share it with anyone.

In every generation there are a handful of people who come into this world equipped with the ability to change it for the better because of their heightened sense of awareness about the power of love. Those people understand love, not as a feeling, but as a state of being, a way of relating to the world. They have a certain light about them, a way of living that encompasses being kind, caring, compassionate, and empathetic. Through their ability to connect to love, they have the potential to heal the world. Michael Jackson was one of them. His connection to love was so strong that he had an enhanced ability to deeply touch other people with his light. When someone who is that connected to love focuses their attention on you in a positive way, the result is a flow of energy that penetrates your soul and the outcome is a feeling of pure joy. Once that joyful feeling is experienced, you want more, so you continually draw back to the source of it, which in this case is Michael. LMP touched on it in her recent interview with O. When she was asked why she fell in love with Michael she said, ‘because he was an incredibly dynamic person. If you were in his vicinity and he showed you who he was, if he was willing to do that, in anyway, MAN, I’ve never felt so high in my life. He has something so intoxicating about him.’ Fans know that feeling all too well. We were always the focus of his attention in a positive way, but it was good to hear that those who were close to him felt the same way. O even let on to the fact that she was taken in by him…’When I first met him, before the interview in 1992, it’s like he shines his light upon you. When he opens himself up and let’s that light through, you just want to be in that, you want to be around that. LMP went on to describe him as her drug. ‘I felt I just always wanted to be around him. This morning, my need was great to turn to the music that lives and lasts in my psyche. I yearned to sing at the top of my voice and move with Michael’s rhythmic layers. Someone said if you ask me what is my favorite Michael Jackson album I would say that it would be as if you asked what is the favorite breath I’ve taken. That answer fits me. Each experience offers inspiration for the moment at hand. This morning, I needed to be moved to another level and so I wept as I sang “I just don’t know the right thing to say…I try but all my pain gets in the way.” My body then wildly danced to “Threatened” as I spit the words out into the air hoping to hit a nearby “journalist.” My heart ached for “The Lost Children.” And, then, there was “CRY.” Michael makes a lot of classics. “CRY” is one of them. As with all of Michael’s anthems, our hearts are captured and our souls won. With each phrase emotions build, our bodies join the dance and we are moved as one voice to join Michael’s worldwide movement of love. All the world’s problems become a part of us when we are in Michael’s arms. Instead of being a spectator, we yearn to make a little space to make a better place and try to heal our world. “CRY revisits a sentiment Michael Jackson had been delivering his entire solo career. He cries because he sees tragedy all around him and internalizes it. He sings of people barely holding on, not knowing when the pain will end; he sings of ‘stories buried and untold’ of people ‘hiding the truth’; he sings of illusions and masks (‘faces filled with madness’; people laugh when they’re feeling sad”). Then, in the chorus, he makes a plea (with his listeners and with himself) to somehow overcome. What connects us isn’t pretending the tragedy doesn’t exist, but seeing it for what it is and confronting is as a collective. Released shortly after 9/11, CRY was exactly the kind of song that was needed in such a devastating moment. The core of the song is much deeper, looking inward and outward at the same time, and offering no easy answers. The majestic call and response he engages in at the climax is classic Michael Jackson, demonstrating the purposeful communication that must take place if we are ever to ‘change the world’.”

I am honored to devote this article to a project that has deeply touched my heart… HEAL YOUR WORLD BOOK FOR CHILDREN…Artwork and Wisdom from Children created by Heaven Leigh. To really grasp the enormity of this upcoming creation, I want to revisit Michael Jackson Truisms. Michael placed teachable moments everywhere in his artistry. Channeling the music of the spheres into twirling energy, luscious sound, and magical language, he has empowered a global humanitarian surge of ceaseless ripples emanating from diverse souls. Traversing flames of abuse which touched on every aspect of human injustice, Michael reached inside the hearts of masses of people depositing seeds that continue to germinate. The fires of injustice, greed, jealousy and racism illuminate the man’s character, burning a bond so strong that Fans actively search to continue his message almost five years after his passing. So, what truisms are honored in Heaven’s upcoming book? As always, I turn to Michael for the answer, saying, “What would Michael do?”

Greatness is measured by what we create and who we include…Michael created every minute he walked the planet and, everyone on earth was and is included.

Heaven Leigh’s choices for this new project reflect all of the Michael Truisms mentioned here. Of course, I could continue to write from Michael’s life for his teachings are unending, putting language to every human condition in need of help. Instead, I want to shine a light on the purposes for HEAL YOUR WORLD FOR CHILDREN. This is an opportunity for children to have that voice Michael spoke about…a chance to reach out to all the children around the world, sharing pictures and words that give their wisdom when searching for peace, harmony and love. It is an opportunity to donate to WORLD CHILD CANCER CHARITY helping children have a better life with their cancer. It is a project that empowers children as they offer us their wisdom… informing a better world. And, it gives adults hope in an effort to rediscover their own childhood. Michael said he wanted to help adults rediscover the child hiding in them…any adult that is open to that idea will find energy for it here.

David Nordahl, the artist that created masterpieces for Neverland Valley Wildlife Sanctuary, has graciously given a beautiful piece of his art to be used for the cover of this wonderful book. The piece Heaven has chosen is entitled, THE STORYTELLER. Michael opened his autobiography, MOONWALK, with this…”I’ve always wanted to be able to tell stories, you know, stories that came from my soul…” He did that with every facet of his artistry…from lyrics to songs, concepts and stories for his short films, choreography, as each of his dances were interpretations of the music. The children’s drawings and languages in this book will do the same. MICHAEL IS CERTAINLY SMILING!

DEAR FRIENDS, It will come as no surprise to you that each day finds me with thoughts of Michael Jackson. I awaken smiling as I think of his life here on earth and its multilayered significance. It is a life that holds me with its vastness. It is a life that has relevance increasing in its affect around the globe. Those who didn’t understand it when Michael danced the planet, are taking the time to become educated toward a clearer understanding now. There is no doubt that Michael’s artistry lives on and stretches his toes and fingers into contemporary art, for we know that Michael was on the cutting edge always, breaking new ground, imagining the impossible. Many paint Michael’s life as tragic. I am not one of those. I have been privileged to see and learn about a LIFE WELL-LIVED. Michael spoke of most of his dreams coming true in an Australian interview in 1987. Artistically, his achievements are unparalleled. Personally, he created Neverland in the world…a place where nothing is impossible. He didn’t believe in the impossible. He set unattainable goals for the planet and then made them attainable. His ability to bring masses of people together for the world’s healing follows him years after his passing. He often said he was a joyful, happy person. He knew how to play and he was a gifted giggler. Tragedy visits every human being. It certainly was a frequent caller in Michael’s life. Its power never overtook the passion for living and loving that was so deep in his soul. To be sure, he was human and walked through fire screaming out, “WHY?” Michael’s talents brought hundreds of millions of people to him. His tragedies keep people close. The aftermath of accusations and media-myth persistence keeps people even closer.

My goal for the articles I have written has been and is to PAY MICHAEL FORWARD. As with Michael’s life, creatively and personally, this goal is multilayered. It envelopes speaking out and defending. It includes celebrating the artistry. It wraps itself around the humanitarian. Sometimes, it SCREAMS FOR JUSTICE. My days are filled with little yellow sticky pads as I jot down ideas. In the middle of the night, I rush to write thoughts that, if left on my pillow, will not be remembered. Curled up in my favorite chair, headphones on, I spend hours listening to the genius which unfolds from every song in Michael’s vast catalog. If it’s pure magic and excitement I crave, I watch live performances. When I need nourishment for the page, I watch short film storytelling. And, when searching for life’s real meanings, I turn to the words Michael speaks.

The RIPPLE AFFECT has swept me up in this amazing cyberspace world. If you would have told me five years ago I’d be a regular computer patron, I would have laughed out loud. ME? ARE YOU KIDDING?? If you would have spoken of the possibilities that social networking offer in developing relationships with people, I never would have believed it. Fast forward to 2014. I am a BELIEVER IN CAPITAL LETTERS. I have so often asked this question in my articles, “CAN YOU LOVE SOMEONE YOU HAVE NEVER MET?” Without hesitation, my answer is a resounding, “YES!” If that is true about my love for Michael, it has also become true for my ONLINE FRIENDS. We have never met in person, but we have met in our hearts. The connection grows stronger every day.

Michael’s life draws people because he was a rare individual who actually walked his talk. He lived it every day of his 50 years. And, he lives it still. My admiration for that fact is overwhelming. Personally, I have talked the talk. I believe that education is an answer to erasing media-myth making. I believe in the Chinese Proverb that if I have benefited from knowledge that has changed my life, I am morally obligated to share it with the world. I believe that what I have learned needs to be shared because IT IS NECESSARY FOR A BETTER WORLD. You don’t have to be a FAN to gain from Michael’s wisdom. How do I apply all of this, to begin for myself, to WALK THE TALK. Michael stretches me, takes me out of my comfort zone, and inspires me to be a braver person. Writing articles for a blog was the first step. Accepting an invitation to write for “WHAT’S REALLY GOING ON?” was another big step for me. And now, accepting Heaven Leigh’s invitation to Co-host her wonderful Blogradio Show for a Valentine’s Special stretches me even more. I have been inspired by Heaven Leigh and her amazing talents, and, I am honored to be asked to join her. For me, it is another step in walking the talk.

My Dear Friends, thank you for the love you have shown…love for Michael, love for children, love for the planet, and love for the articles of mine you have read. You have opened for me a wider world and I am a better person for it. Michael has changed me profoundly. I will never be the same person again. We have all been changed. How fortunate we are.
